Welcome!

I survived the University of Waterloo and graduated with a Baccalaureate of Applied Science in Computer Engineering.

Now that I'm out, I'm working for Net Integration Technologies in Montréal. They pay me to work on things I'd already be doing for free, so I think I've got a good thing going. I do a lot of their Free Software work, and am maintaining the WvStreams library.

About me

You can't find much here, because I have almost nothing that cannot be (and is not) published elsewhere. However, if you want to find me, you can try e-mailing me at sfllaw@law.yi.org. You can find my GnuPG public key here. I am also on irc.debian.org, and irc.efnet.org as coleSLAW or some variant thereof.

You can also indulge in Simon worship by looking at my narcissism page; where I indulge in me.

Are you confused about my computer network? Please look at my vanity list of computers and get less confused.

Things I do

As I have just mentioned to some people, I do far too many extra-curricular activities.

I have written various pieces of Free Software. I am maintaining, some software for the Debian Project. You can find all this and more in my programs directory.

In some of my nominal free time, I give talks for my fellow students. Now I go to conferences and give them there.

Have you noticed that this is really disorganised? I'm this scattered in real life as well! This probably explains the jumble in my .plan.

Information

I'm running a little GnuPG web-of-trust amongst the people who've attended the University of Waterloo.

I'm also graphing my group of Orkut friends.

I borrowed Julie's digital camera for a while, and took a whole bunch of pictures. Then I got my own camera, and have a photo gallery full of them.

Places I've gone

I was at Debconf 2 in July 2002, and it was really cool. I attended Damian Conway's Perl talks, and I've typed some stuff up from my experiences.

I went to the first annual FSF Associate Membership meeting in Cambridge, MA with my friend Jim Morrison. We had a good time down there, and also an interesting trip.

I also attended the first GCC Summit. Most memorably, we got together for a big keysigning party.

I then got addicted to conferences, so in 2004 I went to the second GCC Summit and then the 2004 Ottawa Linux Symposium.

In 2005, I continued this trend by going to the third GCC Summit. I will be attending the second Desktop Con as well as the 2005 Ottawa Linux Symposium.
